In order to help our students have a smooth transition and facilitate their integration, we require that they have accommodation arranged prior to their arrival.
We therefore kindly ask that our employers ensure the intern will have accommodation when they arrive, this can be done through your own means or through our accommodation service.
The IAESTE accommodation service is managed by our Local Committee (LC) volunteers who will take care of finding a suitable accommodation for your intern. This service is charged at a one-time fee of CHF 400.- per intern, this fee is paid directly to our LC and contributes to subsidise the activities they organise throughout the year for the interns (hiking weekends, excursions, etc).

IAESTE is set apart from regular job platforms as we are a non-profit international exchange organization. We support our candidates throughout the recruitment process but as well during their placement. By listing your offer with us, you are contributing to our exchange programme, and therefore also giving the opportunity for a Swiss student to intern abroad.
However, to ensure and maintain our exchanges, we kindly ask employers to list their offer(s)exclusively with us and not look for a student by themselves, at least until IAESTE Switzerland supplies its first application or until the initial agreed deadline.
To confirm your registration, we kindly ask to agree to the following:
- To reserve the traineeship offer(s) for IAESTE.
- To the charged service fee for each successful placement depending on the length of the internship (0-4 months CHF 500.- excl. of VAT / 5-12 months CHF 950.- excl. of VAT).
- To the membership fee: IAESTE Switzerland is structured as a non-profit association. Therefore by offering a placement through IAESTE, you are automatically registered as a member of the National Committee of IAESTE Switzerland. The membership fee is included in our service fee if there is a successful placement. In case no placement materializes, the membership fee is charged CHF 100.- (once a year irrespective of the number of offers listed). You can withdraw from your membership after one year by simply informing us.
- IAESTE Switzerland is not liable for cancellations made by students after an internship has officially begun, as our services - recruitment, work permit support, and accommodation assistance - are deemed complete at that point. While such cases are rare, we remain committed to cooperating with all parties to find fair and practical solutions.
- To inform IAESTE if a fulltime contract is established with the student within 2 years after their internship in reference to the Fairness Clause
- That for the placement of a student with a non EU/EFTA citizenship, IAESTE Switzerland is requested and authorized to apply for the student's visa and employment permit on behalf of the employer.
- To the collection, storage and processing of my data and data of the internship when realized by IAESTE Switzerland. This data will be accessible for two years after the end of the internship, then archived for a further 10 years (to ensure availability until the statute of limitations of ten years has ended). After this cycle, the data will be irreversibly deleted. The data you supply is for our internal use and may also be provided to government authorities for the purpose of issuing visa or work permits. You confirm that all the data provided is correct.
