IAESTE Kenya and host committees coordinate airport pickups, orientation sessions, and introductions to your local mentors. Our goal is to make your arrival smooth, safe, and stress-free—so you can focus on learning, exploring, and settling into your internship with ease.
Your First Week Abroad
Your host IAESTE committee organizes an arrival orientation to introduce you to local customs, transport systems, and safety protocols. You’ll also complete registration with relevant authorities or your host employer during the first few days.
Settling in takes time. Embrace local culture, stay open-minded, and participate in IAESTE’s social activities. You’ll quickly adapt to your new environment and make lasting friendships that enrich your entire internship experience.
Every country offers a unique cultural rhythm. Through guided activities, local events, and personal exploration, you’ll learn how to adapt respectfully and confidently.
