What is IAESTE Kenya?

IAESTE in Kenya is a national chapter of the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience, dedicated to providing university students in science, technology, engineering, and related fields with international practical training opportunities. It facilitates global internships, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world professional environments while fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. Through partnerships with industries, academic institutions, and government agencies, IAESTE Kenya promotes skills development, innovation, and employability among young professionals. The organization contributes to Kenya’s Vision 2030 goals by preparing globally competent graduates who can drive socio-economic growth, technological advancement, and international cooperation.

IAESTE's Aims & Mission

The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience, Association sans but lucratif (non-profit association), commonly known as IAESTE Global A.s.b.l. is an association representing academic, industrial and student interests.

We serve 20 000 students, 3000 employers and 1000 academic institutions through career-focused professional internships abroad, social and intercultural reception programmes, international networking and other career and employer branding activities in more than 100 countries worldwide.

To promote global understanding through academic and industrial exchange programs.

To strengthen collaboration between universities, industries, and government institutions.

To create lifelong learning and professional mobility opportunities for youth.

To provide students with international technical experience and cultural exposure.

To contribute to national human capital and skills development goals.
