Egerton University is one the oldest agricultural universities in Kenya located approximately 25km from Northern City of Nakuru. Egerton University is headquartered at Njoro Main Campus. The main campus also houses the Faculties of Agriculture, Arts and Social Sciences, Education and Community Studies, Engineering and Technology, Environment and Resources Development, Science, Veterinary Medicine & Surgery, Law, Institute of Women Gender & Development Studies while Nakuru City Campus.
Murang’a University of Technology
Innovation for Prosperity
Murang’a University of Technology (MUT) was a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in pursuant of order legal notice No. 129 of September 2011, but became a fully-fledged University in 2016. The University is a successor of Murang’a College of Technology (MCT) established in 1975 and currently operates under the provision of the Universities Act 2012 Cap 210 (b) of the Laws of Kenya.
Meru University of Science and Technology
Foundation of Innovations
Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) was established as a full-fledged University following the Awardof Charter on 1st March, 2013.Subsequently, Dr. James N. Mwangi, CBS was appointed the first Chancellor. MUST Main Campus is situated 15km from Meru town along the Meru-Maua road. The University has also opened a campus in Meru Town at the Hart Towers and a learning centre at Marimba.
Kibabii University
Knowledge for Development
The establishment of Kibabii University(KIBU) is traced to the origins of Kibabii teachers’ training college which is the precursor to the current Kibabii University. For more than twenty years, the proposed Kibabii Teachers Training College in Bungoma South district remained a mere dream. On 19th September, 2007, His Excellency President Mwai Kibaki graciously presided over a groundbreaking ceremony at the proposed site.
