The IAESTE Kenya National Committee (NC) brings together leaders from diverse sectors to guide the organization’s vision and mission. It comprises academic representatives, industry professionals, student presidents from Local Committees, alumni delegates, and government representatives. This inclusive structure ensures balanced decision-making and shared responsibility, allowing IAESTE Kenya to maintain its high standards in technical exchange, policy alignment, and institutional collaboration across the country.
Executive Committee
Operational Leadership for National Coordination
The Executive Committee serves as IAESTE Kenya’s operational nucleus. Led by the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, it includes the National Secretary, Treasurer, Academic Representatives, Student Presidents, Alumni, Exchange Coordinator, and Branding Officer. Each member oversees specific portfolios that drive exchange management, financial integrity, communication, and visibility. Together, they transform strategic directives into action, ensuring IAESTE Kenya operates efficiently and remains aligned with international IAESTE standards.
Advisory Committee
Strategic Guidance and Oversight
The Advisory Committee provides intellectual and strategic oversight to the National Committee. It includes senior university administrators, technical experts, and industry advisors who ensure IAESTE Kenya’s programs remain academically sound and globally competitive. By bridging higher education, industry, and policy, the committee supports innovation, quality assurance, and strategic networking — enabling IAESTE to remain a credible and forward-looking exchange organization within Kenya’s technical education landscape.

Each National Committee member fulfills clearly defined duties vital to IAESTE Kenya’s success. The Chairperson oversees governance and strategic representation; the Secretary manages records and communications; the Treasurer maintains financial transparency; while Academic and Industry Representatives ensure relevance to education and market needs. Together, this structure fosters accountability, inclusivity, and sustainable leadership across IAESTE’s technical and cultural exchange ecosystem.

The National Committee conducts its affairs through regular meetings, including Annual General Meetings and Extraordinary Sessions when needed. Each meeting follows structured procedures, ensuring transparency, quorum compliance, and fair voting. The Committee discusses policy, membership, finances, and exchange outcomes, with minutes duly recorded by the National Secretary. This approach promotes trust, participation, and ethical governance in line with IAESTE’s global and national mandates.
