Kibabii University is a fully-fledged Public University established in accordance with the Kenya Universities Act (2012) through the award of the Kibabii University Charter on November 14th, 2015. The University is currently offering fifty-seven (57) undergraduate and postgraduate programs accredited by the Commission for University Education (CUE) – Kenya. The University has a student population of about 7,500 with a staff of 450.
For Kibabii University to have a truly world-class higher education system coupled with improved quality of teaching, learning, and research as envisaged in her mission and vision, she must be globally engaged and prepare students to be citizens of a multicultural community both at home and in a globalized world. The rationales for the collaboration of the University which are academic, economic, political, social, and cultural are derived from her vision and mission.
Kibabii University considers collaboration as a key driver of academic expansion, improvement of teaching, learning, and research quality, expansion of knowledge creation, and an opportunity to benchmark her performance. Currently, the University has academic and industrial collaborations with several institutions worldwide. All of these are aimed at enhancing teaching, learning, and research in the field of Science, Technology, and Innovations.
